Foods to help take care of your joints

We’re all for anyone and everyone taking up and incorporating exercise into their lifestyle. The benefits are undisputed.
Even the more active of us are likely to work, and that can mean hours hunching over in front of a laptop, or collapsing in a heap on the sofa after a long day, all of which long term can take its toll on your mobility, flexibility and joints.
So in addition to exercise and staying hydrated (those are crucial for everyone and everything right?), what can you eat to help look after your joints?
Fatty fish (think salmon, mackerel, sardines and trout)
Brimming with omega 3 they have anti-inflammatory properties and relieve stiffness. To protect the good fats when cooking try baking or poaching.
Diallyl disulfide can be found in garlic, which is part of the allium family (with onions and leeks), research suggests it has a positive impact on limiting the enzymes which damage cartilage.
Fruit and veg (top choices being broccoli, cabbage and sprouts)
Admittedly a wide ranging food group, fruit and veg are full of antioxidants which helps reduce damage caused by inflammation.
